Villarreal's Nilmar yet to agree personal terms with Sao Paulo - report

Cash-strapped Villarreal have already accepted a bid believed to be in the region of €8 million for the player but the transfer is being held up because a dispute over wages

Nilmar's proposed move to Sao Paulo is on the verge of collapse because of the player's inability to agree personal terms with the Brazilian outfit.

Cash-strapped Villarreal have already accepted a bid believed to be in the region of €8 million for the player and the transfer was expected to have been concluded by now.

However, according to Globoesporte, Nilmar has rejected Sao Paulo's offer of a contract worth €228,000 ($300,000) per month and the club are now refusing to budge.

Indeed, it is believed that Sao Paulo have issued the striker a take-it-or-leave-it ultimatum for Friday of this week.

Nilmar's agent, Orlando da Hora, had previously stated that he expected the dispute over the size of the player's salary to be quickly resolved.

Nilmar
arrived at Villarreal in 2009 and adapted well to life in Spain but he has struggled for form and fitness of late and has notched just two goals in nine La Liga appearances this season.
