Arjen Robben admits to frustration with life at Bayern Munich

The Dutchman feels that he has been unfairly treated in recent times from the press, and feels Jupp Heynckes dropping him was counter-productive.

Arjen Robben has admitted to growing frustration with life at Bayern Munich, having found himself on the bench and out of the Bundesliga starting line-up on several occasions.

A loss of form has seen the 28-year-old drop out of Jupp Heynckes' first team plans, but Robben feels his coach dropping him got in the way of a full recovery.

"When I felt good again, I was interrupted," he told Dutch television station Sport1.

The Dutchman has been widely criticised for his performances in the press, and took time to hit back at German newspapers for what he feels is a witch-hunt.

"There are some newspapers that try to wage a small war against me every two months. This I take personally. I do not want to lump them all together, but it's sad."

Bayern Munich have a crucial clash at the top of the Bundesliga at home to Schalke on Sunday at 15.30CET.
